<div class="IPBDescription">2nd Hive Rush</div>Lately as I've been playing I've notcied that aliens seem to tech up faster than marines. normally by 5 min in, aliens have a second hive and fades while marines MIGHT have armor 1 and some weapons. Marine armor and weapon upgrades are one of the most important upgrades to get and yet they cannot seem to get them up before aliens get a second hive due to the cost of a comm sustaining marines in the field (unless marines are dominating all hive locations).
It may be because the alien commander doesn't need a player to build res nodes as they construct themselves, letting all available alien players be free to slaughter marines as they pair off to cap nodes. Originally a player, gorge, had to construct their teams nodes, taking away from the overall killing power of the alien team (this is one way NS1 let games last longer).
Perhaps making it more expensive for the 2nd hive or having it build slower, or doing the same to alien nodes, would give the marines enough time to get their upgrades and survive.
