Two little ideas for the aliens.

Kham-choosen default spawn and obs working with soundwaves
1. Let the alien commander decide at which hive the other aliens spawn on default. (a simple button at the selected hive)
The other aliens will still be able to right click to change their spawn egg anyway. But this way, the first chosen respawn egg is in the hive that the com has chosen.
2. The marine observatory (only the passive ability) should work based on sound waves.
This way the aliens have two options while choosing a stealth upgrade from the veil:

Cloak (or the cloak of the shade) makes you invisible, but you can be heard and seen by the obs.

Silence makes you invisible for the obs, but not for the marines.

I'm not saying, that silence isn't useful already. But I think the aliens need one way to counter an obs. For the cost of the p_res and one upgrade slot.
Getting cloak and silence together will deny you other important stuff like carapace (at least until hive 3) And a normal scan would reveal you anyway. But I'm not sure about getting the silence upgrade and the cloak from a shade. Maybe the cloak would erase the effect, that your silence upgrade has on the obs? Because of the sound the cloak emit? Too unintuitive?
But anyway, the passive ability of the obs should be able to be countered by the aliens.

Cause as of right now there aren't enough benefits to choosing Shade as your first Hive Tech Tree.
Then again, that could be too imba. Although Obs is usually the 2nd or 3rd structure to be built. There would be the issue of energy, then again few pub players are organized enough to all upgrade silence and gather around a shade for a coordinated attack.
Great idea on how to solve the egg spawn choosing problem. Its annoying to scroll through so many eggs. Maybe though it would be better to simply have the egg scrolling choose eggs between each Hive rather than choosing every egg. Or give players the ability to place where there eggs will spawn.
ie: Assuming that there are 3 Hives.
Choose to spawn in a egg that is available in Atrium. [right click] Brings you to an egg that is available to be spawned into in Data Core [right click] Brings you to an egg that is ready to spawn in Sub Access. [right click] Brings you back to an egg that is available to be spawned into in Atrium.
2. sounds nice as well. silence is nice to initiate, but cloaking is similar in terms of purpose. if this is implemented, i suggest adding a sonar-like sound as observatory passive.

For that matter, let the marine comm determine what the default IP is. They just added this ability in Nuclear Dawn recently.
I do also like the idea of silence providing some sort of immunity to scan.
