Horrible FPS drops

Hi, I was looking to see if anyone might have some ideas as to why I am getting Major fps drops when playing marines regardless of graphics settings or resolution.
The max I seem to get is around 40-50 but often it drops to 15 and below. On the other hand I have no unusual frame rate issue on aliens.
Specs are as fallows
i7 870 2.83
8 gig ddr3
GTX 465 1 gig
10'000 RPM WD 300 gig
Windows 7 pro 64 bit
