Future control method for Kham

I guess the "zen garden" approach of the Kham will be kept by Charlie, and if this is the case, UWE could implement something that might be considered more of a gimmick.

In my possession is a device called a Wacom Intuos, that is a tablet that graphic designers, artists and a lot of people working in creative industries use to have an easier handling on a computer, especially when it comes to painting.

If the Kham should ever be getting close to finish and actually have these "painting pheromones" things, it would be nice to have the pen-system implement. Lasso-selection of players would also be nice. And if the Kham will eventually be able to morph the dynamic infestation - as at least I hope he will be able to a certain degree - how cool would it be to use a tablet for these kind of controls? Using the wheel to rotate the "canvas"/map. Changing brush sizes for the pheromone-panting.
(Especially if you got a Cintiq... Man...)

Especially with the newest Intuos generation, the fifth, with ingetrated touch screen capabilties, it would be so much easier and more convinient to nagivate on the map in commander view.
Navigating in NS2 still is something that annoys me a lot about the commanders...

This might give players with tablets a huge advantage, but it would be very cool and scifi-y.

Nonnonnono imagine, imagine they make it so you can put on a VR helmet right, and then you are the zen ghost comm, and you fly around and you can look around and throw infestation on the walls and and and they make it full panoramic view in the helmet and you can whisper to the fades and stroke the onos. yesyesyesy plz implement this too UWE.

Nobody apart from actual graphic designers actually owns a tablet though.

It'd probably be more worthwhile trying to support the steel battalion controller for the exosuit or something.

While you could probably mod something like this yourself, I doubt UWE would make NS2 touchscreen, tablet compatible. Also, you'd likely have a hard time finding many gamers who would give up their tried-and-true keyboard+mouse setup for interacting with NS2.

It would be just for the commanding. I never liked the handling for RTS games, feels to uncomfortable.
