I was wondering if anyone else gets it where you log into NS and it shows that there are no servers online. Is it just me or is this something happening to everyone?
-Either restart your game a couple times until you see the server list again -Or wait and be patient as the HL2 Master servers are down (this is the case if the first way does not work)

This is usually the case for me. I just wait a minute and the server list will refresh.
I also have this issue, and had it yesterday as well. No matter how long I wait the servers never populate. It just flickers the screen a little. I've had nothing but good things to say about this game, but not even being able to play after pre ordering years ago is a little frustrating.

This is a steam issue. The server browser is controlled by steam. Their support for 3rd party games is not up to their own high standards, and many 3rd party games suffer the same problem at the same times. I have a lot of games in my steam account, so I regularly test them when there is a NS2 server browser issue, to eliminate steam, but it always happens in more than 1 of my 3rd party games at a time.
Steam are aware of the issues and are supposed to be doing something about it. Possibly on Valve time :)
As for the issue, do not click refresh, just open the page and leave it for up to 3 mins. If this does not bring up the list, go into another menu option (create or options) then go back into the list. Again wait, although usually it refreshes much faster on the 2nd opening. Try that a few times, but generally it will come up within 2-3mins if it is going to come up.
Well this one can't be blamed on UWE for a change: it's usually the HL2-masterserver (operated by Valve) that's just not functioning proper. Nuttin to do but sit and wait.
1. Alt+tab out of the game, then back into it. I don't even release the buttons, just switch to the desktop and then back to the game quickly. This causes the server list to suddenly show itself. Don't hit refresh or the list will disappear. 2. Start a listen server (i.e. create your own LAN game), then either try to join a server or quit the LAN game and try then.

Very helpful info, thanks! It'll be fixed after HL 3 :)

I had it happen to me one day and it was fine the next. Or sometimes it'll show no servers for 15 seconds and then suddenly they'll pop up.
You can go about it in 2 ways
-Either restart your game a couple times until you see the server list again
-Or wait and be patient as the HL2 Master servers are down (this is the case if the first way does not work)
