The follow up to the 1776 rebellion

<div class="IPBDescription">A 10 v 10 gather between EU v NA!</div>We had a 10 v 10 gather, and later on a 11 v 11 gather, where EU played against NA. This time we tried to quell the rebellion and show them pesky colonist terrorists we wont allow no dumping of tea, alas to little avail.

    That was a good fight. It's funny tho i was alien comm and i dropped like 4-5 crags and then my door bell went off, it was my landlord coming for rent so the comm was afk for like 5 min. Shows how op aliens can be. I came back with like 2-3 guys on the hive screaming ARC's! I was like fack dropped like 2 more crags. GG!

    gg's, you guys should of had one recapping when those ARCs were firing. And I think it would of been a different story.

    Haha, it was pretty spontaneous. There was originally a 6v6 mostly-euro gather going. Then the NAs invaded the gather. We ended up having ~20 people on the ENSL TS and collectively decided to do a 10v10 instead of gathers.

    It was also close spawns both games, and both marine rounds were extremely close.

    Player count made marine wins feasible. Also the lack of mass-onos ######ery.

    I'm actually not surprised, since my experience is between close-to-evenly skilled teams, the team with the ping advantage will win, regardless of side. I suspect these matches we're played on a US server.

    Scrajm needs to learn how to use keybinds and how to scan/build more obs beforehand. :P
    The ARCs weren't shooting for more than half of the time, no wonder the hive didn't go down. Afaik ARCs do like 15% of hive health per shot... the damage is definitely huge.

    This wasn't meant as a personal insult, sorry Scrajm. :) No trash talk on the forums, I get it now.

    The issue wasnt the scanning. It was that he was not hitting the crags i had set-up behind the hive. When he first pinged the first time it killed 1 crag. I had like 7 total and then 2 gorges ftw.

    Seems like a nice thing to test for the future... by the looks of the explosion effect the arc aoe should have also hit the crags but didnt... (and if the hive nearly went down after each shot, crags should have been down way before)

    Would be nice if the commander could set it to shoot at an area rather than a structure, so you get a marker that shows you the aoe explosion radius to manually override the stupid ai, until it either doesnt hit a structure anymore, or keeps shooting forever at the area until its set back to autopicking of the target again. (tho this would need to have the explosion marker highlighted always, or at least if you select your arcs to check)

    I mean who really knows how big the aoe effect of the arc shot is? - seems like you cant really trust the particle effect.

    Be nice if the range circle's border was much much thinner so you could better determine what is and is not in range, instead of the giant border it has now. Or at the very least some kind of area effect overlay on structures that are in range when you select an ARC.

    I love that you took your time to make that picture in paint!

    I was surprised myself that the arcs hit neither crags nor gorges. The arc is an enigma.

    Only structures. The ARCs were definitely just outside of range of the crags though.
