B202: Is hit reg worse?

Does anyone else have much worse hitreg in B202?

It has worsed so much I thought the rifle dmg has decreased, because lots of the shots seem to disappear into a void. When compared to before, I could easily kill a skulk with a rifle mag, usually 2 or so, now I can't even kill one most of the time.
Not sure whether it's just me, but a lot of time shotgun shots magically hit but do nothing as well, my "record" is 5 lvl3 shotgun hits at close/point-blank rage on a skulk to kill him.

This is usually with an ok ping (50ms +- ) and servers that have a steady tickrate of 30. Sometimes I hit fine, sometimes it seems really off, does anyone have the same problems?

    shotguns are hit or miss for me also. 3 meatshots to down a skulk isn't uncommon for me. but some other times it feels like i barely hit the thing and manage to kill it.

    Ya, i'm getting some funny business going on with the shotgun. It usually seems to take 2 point blanks to kill a skulk now. Maybe it isnt a hit reg issue but due to the damage reduction - i have no idea.

    I also noticed it a lot by playing fade and lerk late game, sometimes you get shotguned in the face and barely take any damage.

    I think it's linked to the choke.

    All of Cyd have been experiencing a lot of hit reg problems, just as an example we have to shoot skulks a full model in front in order to get it to reg, which is a hard thing to do with how fast and disorienting skulks can be, especially when they spam-jump into you!

    I'm not sure about hitreg in general - my framerate is always pretty bad so it's hard to say where the problem lies - but the shotgun in particular does feel wrong. It feels to me like there's an extra delay when you fire it - not merely the usual response time, but an extra delay on top of that, which can send the shot into a nearby wall that I wasn't actually aiming at at the time. I usually perform much better with the rifle than the shotgun simply because it's more responsive, and have started to wonder if the shotgun is actually a projectile rather than hitscan weapon, and thus if its shots are not being lag-compensated properly.

    I've been having the same problem with the shotgun in this build, often taking 3 shots to take down a skulk, and 2 in most circumstances where it used to be 1.

    Ive noticed this with both the shotgun and the rifle. Its hard to say if its caused by my low FPS or not, but there still seems to be issues.

    I've noticed it frequently taking 2-3 point blank shotgun shots to kill skulks. Hit reg definitely "seems" worse. Though with no way to actually test it, it is impossible to say for certain.

    It would be really helpful if we were able to get damage numbers implemented.. Either as a debug option or a print to the console whenever you hit something.

    I kinda thought the opposite.

    I seem to get much better feedback when I shoot a skulk, I point at the skulk, press the button, and blood shoots out.

    Although, I admit the rifle did seem a little weaker than I remember it, I kinda put that down to not having any weapon upgrades when I tried it.

    It is possible the bullets are showing effects but not actually hitting. But they definitely seem to be triggering effects much more correctly, I see them when I expect to.

    Shotgun feels a bit worse in 202. Requires so many shots on skulks.

    There was some new prediction added so that hit tick is displayed instantly, but sometimes you can see it start to flash and it quickly disappears because while the hit was predicted on the client, it didn't actually register on the server.

    The feedback is instant as it is client side now, the problem is that i can land 20 shots on my screen, but the skulk is still alive. Does anyone know of an easy way to track/record hit detection in public play?

    I did some tests on a local server with a lot of bots (tickrate~20, 50% choke) and if you don't move it seems to always work, when thing become more dynamic I had a few problems :

    I don't know if we can learn anything from this, but my guess it that it's not unexpected given the tickrate.

    yea 20 tickrate is quite common to the point i'd say unavoidable currently, as every match goes to 20 at some point.

    yeah hit reg is definitely off, got real frustrated yesterday after several games of doing terribly despite having an average aiming day.

    Nice video. All of those shots should definitely have been kills. I've had the same problems. Hopefully this will be looked into after PAX.

    I have to say that I had maybe 5-10% of miss, most of the hits registered well. Of course it's a local server, I guess that it get worse when players have different, non-constant pings.

    I haven't bought a shotgun in the last 2 or 3 builds because you can't kill skulks with it half the time.
    On the bright side, I'm getting to work on my LMG a lot!

    I go with LMG now too. Shotgun isn't worth hassle of missing/not connecting shots and long reload.
