Amazing guys doing amazing work
I would like to take a second to thank the developers of this game. I myself am an artist and have recorded many albums and sold my music to the masses. So, after experiencing what it is like to create a piece of artwork and share it with the world it is easy to see where the developers hearts are with this game.

For me, as a gamer, is is extremely easy for me to pass judgement on things. I also set extremely high standards for all the games I play. I at heart am a hardcore PC gamer. I started on console but as soon as I played quake 3 and counter-strike (At age 12, now 24) I was hooked on PC games. They seemed so much more free and more advanced. The easy aiming with the mouse and freedom and limitless potential for graphics, memory, and etc. I digress, I have been playing NS1 since I was a wee pup about age 14 or 15. I remember thinking "Dang this is a crazy HL mod, and it was more polished and professional of any other I had played". There had been lots of alien vs marine games before so I was skeptical at first until I actually played it. I realized it's like no other game ever made before... looks can be deceiving.

This game IS in beta, and I think a lot of the players here are past hardcore gamers. They likely share a similar mind to me. We are critical and judgmental towards all PC games due to our upbringing. There are a thousand little bugs and tweaks that need to be make still and the team is totally on that. I know these guys are passionate and want to deliver the best game to us. They really do, and I know this because I am an artist myself. I just want the dev's to know that you guys should be proud and confident in your game. Express confidence in all your endeavours gentlemen. This game is based upon a very awesome and complicated concept. It is no COD, or CS, or BF. This is NS. While this game can benefit from taking similar concepts from all those other games, it shall remain sound in its own path.

When you guys market your game, I would like to see you showcasing the RTS-FPS element much more. This is the selling point for you guys. Don't say so much that you have sick graphics, and 0mG-exosuit, too much. You guys should showcase the awesome FPS game you made but also tell the audience that you have a real thinking persons game here too. I for one love this game for the depth and strategy... you can have bad reflexes and aim but still come out on top in NS. Smart people love your game. Make it for other smart people, but find a way to bridge the gap to the masses as well. I know you guys are trying to do this already. You guys have done it. Just keep your minds open and keep the polish coming. I play this game more than any other game including CS,BF,DOTA,Star craft you name it. I am addicted to this game and would play it forever even at its current beta status.

Oh yeah and you guys should use Hugh as much as you can when it comes to PR stuff. He get's it when it comes to presentation.

Love this game and would gladly pay 100$ for it (But please don't do that hahahah.... don't be Activision)

Honestly I enjoyed NS1 enough that my thinking when I pre-ordered was basically "Well, I don't know if this will go anywhere, but I got at least this much money worth of enjoyment from NS1, which was free, so I don't mind risking it."

After that, I would pop into a server every so often, and one magical day, a long time later, I found that I could finally average 30 frames per second with modest settings and games outcomes were being determined by player skill and tactics instead of bugs, exploits and server crashes.

Since then, NS2 has been by far my most played game, though I recently uninstalled NS2 during build 202 because I wasn't getting anything done and I have real-world obligations that were being neglected. The frequent updates are super exciting, and having just read over the high-level design docs, I'm really looking forward to seeing what's to come. I think once the final spit and polish is on and it's available for purchase on Steam it's really going to blow up.
