It's simple ... jut make change of FOV by speed of leks fly...
when you fly fast your FOV will be like hmmm 120 (or it's less like normal ? 60?), when you slow down FOV will go back (dunno to 90?)
it will give lerk the feeling of speed... together with that skwwooossss........ sound :D
yu can find plenty of videos ia google, like:

Games like Quake that are traditionally played at 100-130 FOV still feel fast because of it, without changing it often and making people puke on their desks.
Dynamic FoV would make me feel sick, too.
Another issue is that I think mouse speed always changes with FoV so you will not be able to make exact turns anymore because your turn speed will depend on your overall speed. It won't be huge if the FoV change is small enough, but competitive players will definitely notice.
Minecraft only does it for two speeds, lerks would presumably have to constantly fade in and out as they accelerate/decelerate, otherwise it'd jitter back and forth a lot if you were operating just near the edge of the two speed brackets.
I can handle FOV adjustment, but having it constantly fisheye in and out, that'd be a bit... offputting.
... this will definitely remove jitter-ing back and forth .. as you describes.
So you can feel like you're going fast?
The question being asked here is: <i>Why</i> should this be implemented?

Because he wants it and posted it on the forums, which means there's a 50% chance it's in build 207
He even quoted his last post in the thread and then edited the original one to bump it. Now that's dedication!
Seriously though, there are still no real pro arguments besides "it feels faster" and "it gives more overview", which could be applied to any FoV change. I'd personally be delighted by higher (<b>constant!</b>) FoV for all lifeforms, but others might not, so I hope for a slider in the new menu.
