there are some people that have <i>faith </i>the uwe will finally get the game decent for 1.0, but they wouldnt try to talk anybody out of getting a refund. i've never seen that happen here at all.

srsly, there has been plenty of criticism & suggestions about the game - from everybody. disagreements about powernodes & bunny hopping, for example, doesnt = fanboi.
supporting uwe's attempt to make ns2 a different game from ns1 doesnt = fanboi.
there may be a <i>handful </i>of posters that support all the ns2 changes as locked in & unchangeable, but uwe doesnt believe that & you know that really hasnt happened.
Never heard any other company doing this, especially in my country Sweden. Everytime you buy something from the store you can't get money back, but if you order it through itnernet you have 2 weeks to regret your decision. If you don't regret it in those two weeks you cannot do refund.
Point is, uwe is exstremly nice for giving money back to peopel.
But I don't really understand though why people want their money back for the most amazing game ever, and it's so small money we're taking about. This game cost about 30 usd right?? . It's nothing, not even when I was in school and had no job, thougth that 30 usd was much.
Just wait until Monday man. This isn't a huge company who has customer service open on weekends, they only do this kind of work Monday - Friday I am sure.

as i understand it, UWE doesnt have a "no refund" policy, so no worries man, should be resolved on monday as people have said
Because it isn't the most amazing game ever? Because they want to make it clear that they were not satisfied with the product? $30 probably doesn't matter to them, either.
We've never had a "no refund" policy. The person in charge with authoring the refunds is our technical artist and has a lot on his plate, so it sometimes takes a bit of time before he gets to his emails. If you haven't heard anything by mid next week, post again in this thread.
Everyone else, there really is nothing productive in trying to find out reasons why someone is getting a refund and to try and talk them out of it, and the thread will get out of hand very quickly, so can we please just let it drop? Thanks.
