<div class="IPBDescription">info & feedback</div>Tenebrous is a mining and smelting facility with onsite living quarters.The facility uncovered a strain of bacterium though. Now, the Kharaa are trying to overrun the facility.

I realized there was too many resource points, tech points, and hallways. I could easily see the balance issues. Now that the map is progressing smoothly. I'd like to share with the community, discuss, and possibly test in the future.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

    So from my understanding, when the round starts the marine team can spawn in any tech point except room 8, the alien spawn? and vice versa for the aliens?

    Seems like a interesting idea, although doesn't the event that a team spawns in one of the random spawn points eliminate some of the uncertainty concerning where the enemy team spawns?

    For example, if marines spawned in their designated spawn, but the aliens spawned in room 1, then to the marines perspective, the aliens could be at any of the other spawn points, which is 3 in total. However, the aliens know that the marines couldn't have spawned in their designated spawn, and therefor only have to deal with the uncertainty of whether the marines spawned in their designated spawn, or on the alternate random spawn location, which only offers 2 different possibilities.

    Although there may be inherent advantages to spawning in one of the random spots, the concept does seem to have some potential, and perhaps if you made those particular spots more vulnerable in some way, then you could achieve some interesting trade-offs with this design.

    Always get a thrill seeing new maps being developed.

    In the magma pool room the lighting is very bright, cold and blue...it doesn't feel natural when there's a pool of magma right there.

    @Heroman117: Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I don't think this will be a huge problem though. It's a very small advantage as I see it. Although you can never tell till the map is tested.

    @peregrinus: Adjusted the magma's light. All lighting isn't final atm.

    Back to working on area 8. :)
