since the new patch i sometimes feal nearly useless as a gorge because:
-i can not move/detroy my hydras(dont know if this is a bug or not)
-heal gets nerfed( a long time ago i know)
-max 5 cysts, 3 hydras and 10 clogs
so now how can i try too be a real help as gorge for comm ?hmm if comm want to spread infestation and i place my hydras in 1 room and we run over the next room i can not build my hydras again and can only fight with heal/primary attack or run away and let the new things my com build die .
i do not play gorge often and so i am maybe a noob as gorge but i am interested in your opinions

The best way to be useful as a gorge is to build your hydras at the third harvester your commander takes on one side of the hive room. That way, you guard one entrance to the harvester chain, while the hive (which should be populated with skulks) guards the other side. As long as you don't get killed, you and your hydras can defend far better than even 2 or 3 skulks could.
Its also worth mentioning that the gorges current state is obviously not its final state. You can't have a life form which as as strong at 20 minutes as it is at 10. I'm sure they have more in store.
Also, you need to manually recycle your old stuff before you can build new, I believe 'use' recycles them.
Everytime I go gorge and try to help the khamm by dropping mini-cysts in the opposite direction he started with to help gain speed to another RT, I find that the Khamm is redropping regular cysts right by my mini's to get to the spot I had just layed out for him...
If they are suppose to be this way then they really need to re-think the idea of them dying if you don't re-gorge right away again or else you could end up with lots of broken chains.

That was once a very helpful strategy, but since cysts are no longer tied to hive energy it's not as useful anymore. I think mini-cysts main purpose now are to be put on walls to support hydras.

There is a real possibility of you losing track of a cyst or cysts that you dropped, and never being able to find them again (unless you die and let them die).

There are many times a Gorge is unable to reach a structure they built to recycle it (the recycle range is far shorter than the building placement range).

Thanks, I stand corrected.
i did not know i can move them with e :D thx
no you can forget my thread
Unreliable, and if the idea of maturation into full cysts was implemented it would mean the Gorge would be extremely limited as far as building options in the first few minutes of a game.
