This seems to be the development path so far. Something is broken, put in a band-aid solution, the band-aid solution breaks more things, put in more solutions. There doesn't seem to be much thought put into the changes, and we have patches that don't do much but unbreak the previous patch, while the previous patch was an attempt to address multiple problems we wouldn't have in the first place if we would think things through.

It's their choice to do that as rational human beings. None of us is forcing them.

Why do people do this? You declare all these things as if you're an expert, but I don't see how you are. If you rationalized any of what you said, you wouldn't need to prove yourself.
You're telling people not to post on the forums of a beta test (or whatever "CHILL OUT" means), which you are yourself posting on to do that. You clearly just want to see words you type appear on the internet for others to see. You're white noise. cu@lan
When a "regular" game is developed the actual balancing comes after feature complete, because it doesn't make sense waste hours to balance infantry <-> tank to perfection when the chopper isn't even in yet.
Of course UWE is going for the same thing (actual balance when feature complete), but IMHO they waste too much time trying to balance these beta builds, since new features will automatically destroy the balance again.
Just take the exo: at the moment you can kill a fade in 1 assault rifle magazine. I expect the minigun to do more dmg than a assault rifle. The exo will have 2 of those, plus (probably) much much more armor. How do you expect the (current) fade/lerk to do anything against 5 of those?
New features like these kill the balance every time, and then you have to start balancing all over again.
IMHO uwe shouldn't update every week, but every month, and concentrate on getting all features in asap.

+ One Thrillion Times This
I'm happy to play new builds so often, but it DOES come at a cost and not a lot of people, or at least not a lot of the more vocal people, seem to understand that. I could only imagine how much they could get done in a month if they didn't have to worry about people complaining for hotfixes minutes after every patch. I would bet by the time NS2 is feature complete, the fade will be back to how it felt about 10 or so patches ago slaughtering groups of non exo'd marines and all the health/armor changes in between(while being great for experience) ends up getting reverted.

That's great to hear!
Was the introduction of the Fade a band aid fix to marine dominance?
Was the addition of the grenade launcher a band aid solution to mass alien structures?
Was the inclusion of ARCs a band aid fix to clearing heavily fortified areas?
Was moving the bile bomb from gorges to lerks a band aid fix for gorges being on the front line too much?
Was the shift of second tier abilities from a second hive to an upgraded first hive a band aid fix for marine map control?
Was the removal of the resource cost on gorge structures a band aid fixed to make the gorge more useful?
In case you didn't pick up on the pattern, the first 3 questions regard mechanics which were simply ported from NS1 to NS2. The next 3 are all mechanics which have been significantly changed compared to their NS1 counterparts.
NS1 was a good game, but it was a good game 10 years ago. Times have changed, and so must the game.
i for one am happy to see that UWE is at least taking 2 weeks for the next patch, in fact they should take a month and finaly ad all features so the real balancing can begin.

This is exactly the case, and you are absolutely right.
do you really think they rush out patches because of people complaining on the forums? gosh, I hope not..
How much is this in American time units?
Just kidding...it's clearly twice a week now.
