I wonder what it takes to get a gold icon... I think Max deserves one. His hat deserves a platinum award at least. :D

This game has come along in my life since the versción ns 1.4 when I accidentally got a HL mod which I became hopelessly addicted. I had worked with the Worldcraft then would be the hammer and despite knowing nothing about editing or programming took it as a personal challenge and made some maps for ns.
Knowing that some of my maps were played on U.S. servers as badserver was an achievement for me.
In ns2 I was simply amazed by the work they are doing, could not stay out of this wonderful game that slowly but surely taking shape.
I really like to create and live what I created, what better than an environment where you cross it and interact in it.
So thanks for the Squad Five icon. I am more than happy with my little icon!!!

I don't really feel like I deserve to be amongst the mappers and modders that have helped shape and expand the game itself, but hopefully I will be able to put in as much time as they have for us eventually. Maybe when my own map is complete.

Shouldn't these guys be in a different category to the people that have put in countless hours making mods, maps, bug fixing and server running?
Sorry but if you're going to dish one out to people that run their own clan, create posts about balance discussions and are helpful to others in game you would see half the community in squad 5. No offence to the guys that I quoted but I thought squad 5 was 'outstanding effort' by community members.

Kind of agree with this.
No offense to anyone, but some of these people deserve it alot more than others.

Being a good role-model is usually it's own reward, but the badge they receive isn't a ViP Pass <i>(at least not yet)</i>
It's almost in a literal sense a "high-5" and I don't see anything wrong with it

Its irrelevant. People in squad 5 are chosen by the community, nobody else.
