Hydra/Drifter Play

Earlier today I was playing in a mixed scrim with HBZ/Trans vs Exertus and we got gorged rushed. This is because hydra's don't need a cysts, but I really like the idea of forward hydra's. Why not have Drifter's drop mini cysts? A Drifter right now a little week to do this, so instead of having an enzyme drifter you have a cyst drifter with more hp or more armor (allow the drifter to be cloaked too). Installing this will make the Alien Commander more of a impact on the game. Being able to set up a forward base with hydra's, crags, and whips would have for some interesting game play. It should work out a little like Phase Gates. Allowing you to get back to your position and keep up the pressure. By doing this it would take away from the ability to gorge rush, but not the ability to place forward hyrda's. Aliens to set it up a defensive base and make the Marines fight threw it or have to fight around it to protect your base.

Just a thought really and I don't want it to be too much like SC2 (overlords) but it would give us an other strat to work with. :)

    I myself like the idea of 2 drifters, would even expand it to 3 drifters, depending on which hive you go for (crag, shade, shift). For each drifter to have its own ability and alternative when you get augment for given hive, could be a bit complicated but right now, you get drifter, you place it, put enzyme and that's pretty much it.

    Like this different hive upgrades would give you different drifters you could get, so with crag hive the cyst drifter with more hp, more armor and possibility that gives you cyst as normal and 5hp regen or something other with augment; with shift hive the current drifter with enzyme and as augmented ability some type of passive speed boost for like 5-10% to all in small radius, for shade drifter make it dedicated scout so invisible even when moving, with augment provides short range cammo so placing it forward with gorge could help gorge out or something like it.

    I kinda like Mikes idea too, but drifter type per hive type would maybe even be better
