Hey all,

We're not quite ready to ship this, but we're getting close. Very excited.

Also, I'm not sure if word has gotten out yet, but we've been working a lot to get Steam Workshop integrated with NS2 and that's coming along great too! We can't wait to see what you guys do with this.

Hmmm, that can mean several things. Is it a link to the steam-workshop? Or an actual mod-manager that has been inevitable for quite some time. Is the menu now an agnostic launch-platform where mods can be dynamically loaded\unloaded? What will be the new protocol for mods to adhere to? (given Game_Setup.xml applies to the initial command-line only). How will client-server hashcheck-conflicts be negotiated? Or will it simply be entirely server-imposed scripts (basically eradicating client-side modding, eg. where the server does not have the client's mod physically installed).

Charlie, you just made my day. Please excuse me while I go do more re-skins.

This is generally good news, although I need to wait for further details to see how this affects current mods and their development. I hope it will be an easy transition.

Ideally I'd love to see a way for certain mods to show up in the "non-modded" servers list. Obviously game-breaking mods should be segregated, but mods such as a sever admin / private slots manager / team balancer mod should be allowed in the main list because they don't effect the "purity" of the experience.

It would also be great if there was a feature so that players could "whitelist" certain mods so that they would show up in their own pure listing (so if someone is a fan of Lerk Lift, they could make those servers show up in the non-modded list)

Looks very exciting! It looks like we need to go take a look at how to put things on Steam Workshop...

I'll start playing more when classic mods like combat with extra levels and build menu appear.
