Yea, no, seriously, it's probly a combination of lag, lag-compensation, tickrate and needed number tweaking, but i've been killed as a jetpacker at some totally redonculous ranges! I can be 3-4 fade heights above the fade and still die and respectively 2-3 onos heights, this feels absolutely BSBSBSBSbullsh*t!
This has to be on the adress-before-release-to-do-list...

If you're a jetpacker, you're probably above the onos. Remember that when you look down, you're looking from the chest/neck area of the jp, so your actual hitbox still extends your entire chest + legs downward. The onos is looking up and hitting your feet. That cuts quite a bit of the distance off because you may view the onos as 5m away, but really your marine is 2m tall and the onos is hitting your feet, just 3m away.
Plus lag, lag compensation, and all that stuff can seemingly extend melee ranges. That's just the nature of lag compensation.

Oops. I had feet in there then converted to metersish because I thought the game ran on the metric system!
