Can't change my avatar

I got a strange problem, no matter what I do I can't change my avatar. In the user center it will show the new one, but in the forums itself it will always be the old one.

Could you describe what it's supposed to look like? Currently I see a bearded Stargate character.

Yes, now it changed apparently, took only 24 hours or so to change it seems. :P

Could be it was cached or something? I don't know a lot about these things.

It was at least strange, even if I deleted the old one in the User Center and then uploaded the new one it still showed the old one with my posts.
