<div class="IPBDescription">Rebalance please.</div>Title. How the ###### can it do so much damage, yet it rarely splashes back into the Marine who fires it face to face against aliens? It feels more like an overpowered weapon that can do everything alone than a choice with one or two flaws and risks, it also ultimately camps both aliens and buildings with no actual retailation, even if it's against multiple Lerks, most enemies who aren't Onos die in one hit, and that's with Caparace upgrade + Gorge healing automated. The only way to actually avoid this is to run away and by doing so you will let them in, completely destroying further alien reinforces that aren't Onos and defenses in the hands of a smart player.
Rebalance please, I feel scammed. I find rocket launching and jumping more logical in TF2 than this game's explosives, you'd think a grenade or two would be enough, but no, a Grenade Launcher with bull###### damage and rarely damage to self is what you can get too early.

It is novel in the sense a marine iw not completly vulnerable, and prevents gl spamming to some degree.
However, the gl in general is overpowered when there are alot. The saame can be said when there are many fades.
Maybe we can made an alien upgrade to protect, dampen gl damage for lower level aliens, or all in general.
Or add spalah damage to marines which can affect only armor or also health.
Middleman
Playing since 1.04 ns1
What, some whips spawn in blocked PoV, like, behind a whole wall that's supposed to be a stairway, so they wouldn't even help you a bit against GLs, they would be bombarded before that happens because GL can hit them before they do.
As for the other tips, it's true that you can avoid them OR kill them before you're hit, hell, sometimes they even die to self damage, very obvious deaths though, but it's not just a matter of hiding or being too rushy, rather, the instinctive reaction to fire off a GL when they get hit happens and you die regardless of them dying or not, it's also more often that this will happen due to 1 hit kills while they could have nanos ready to defend themselves and lack of competent Lerks nowadays(I blame recent purchases).
I think if we want a real 1 hit kill weapon, it should be the Shotgun, which shoots slowly and has a balanced damage scale with range, while GL should be toned down a bit, to at least give Gorges time to heal a bit.
Oh, and personally, I've been clearing Aliens just fine with GL by W2+M1, even Skulks, they die horribly, almost no skill involved.

Yeah I agree about the shotgun maybe GLS should get a buff against structures but less damage to life forms. This makes for more team work with GLS and encourages squad rushes with 1-2 GLS and other weapons dispersed among the squad to ensure a balance. Also I think I was a bit pissy when I wrote that haha re reading it I sound like a ######.
I watched a lone Marine kill 3 whips with grenades. The thing whips are suppose to counter. They've completely broken the reason why whips were semi useful in this build by changing them.
They need to fix the projectiles themselves, not the launcher

Lmg gl is a great tool, and should of stayed in the game. It does not make the lmg useless, its an added bonus. Its a,mortor.
You need to stop crying.

It's a great tool, but it's not a trade off. The game is all about trade offs if you just upgrade something, that means it makes the predecessor useless since you can always just go for the upgraded version. The game is supposed to be about team work and tactics if you get a GL then you NEED to go with a squad to do any damage. That's also why some people are gripping about free upgrades on aliens, it makes them mandatory, they aren't trade offs in the first 10 or so minutes they are all you have and if you don't take them you're an idiot. "If you run into the enemy without your pistol out" Don't mean to be a ###### but 1. Why are you running out of base alone? 2. Why are you running out of base alone with a GL? 3. Why are you leaving base alone with a GL to run straight at the enemy like Rambo?
