Instant Weapon Switching

<div class="IPBDescription">Is this possible?</div> I was wondering, is there any way I could change weapons instantly with the press of a button? I bound the bottom Kp's and kp_0 for weapon changes (yes, I know it's odd, I use the arrow keys), but I still have to press two buttons to actually switch, the kp and then the left mouse button. Is there any way to make it instant, so I won't have to fumble for my pistol in the middle of a firefight? I would be thankful for any help <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.

By the way, I'm not sure what the stance is here for scripting so I hope I'm not doing anything against the rules. I don't use big complicated scripts myself, but I really want instant switching and I'm not sure if it'll require scripting or not. As far as I know, the old standby still works:

hud_fastswitch 1

enter that into your console (in the game, press the tilde key to bring up the console).

I'm not sure if the dev team looks DOWN on things like this, though, so use it at your own risk.

There's really no point in quotting something if the post you're quotting from was just above it, in that case you would just state them as his/her name.

Okay. Original question's been answered, just use hud_fastswitch 1. It works very well. And no, the dev team doesn't look down on this at all.
