<div class="IPBDescription">wheras I created a graphic representation of it</div>On the real life side, I like to play lots of board games like Arkham Horror and BSG. I've found it really helps to learn (and subsequently teach others) these complex games by re-writing the rules in a way that makes sense to me.
I decided to do the same with the Alien Tech Tree and thought I'd share it. It's not real pretty. I'm using Open Office's Draw and it has not been super enjoyable.
Any comments, suggestions, nitpicks, and especially corrections are definitely welcome. Any ideas of better (free-ish) programs to try would be welcome too.

(use inkscape next time, awesome software)
I'll check out Inkscape, thanks!
Edit: I fail at reading, nevermind.
Not that its that bad, I'm just being nit picky since you asked for some.
I almost left out the Creature Evolutions altogether, but they're not exactly cheap so I thought it'd be better to put them in somewhere. I guess technically you are buying Upgrades to unlock creature Abilities, so they should be an Upgrade shape.
I was trying to keep it all to one page, yeah. Perhaps landscape would make more sense.
Getting sick of that orange color too...
