Clarification on bob & clip

this has probably been said elsewhere, but im on dialup (pity me) so i dont feel like searching for the next 5 hours.  anyway, i know that bob can't climb on clip brushes, so does he simply not climb, or does he sink through the clip?

    He just can't climb or hang on clip surfaces.  Clips still act as solid barriers though, so the wallclimber won't 'sink' through one.

    If you are running on a ceiling and hit a clip brush you will fall off. In other words, You can't get a grip or hold on clip brushes... like you are letting go.

    I'm pretty sure you can run into them and get blocked by them, etc... you just can't get a grip and climb on them. Climbing simply doesn't work on clip brushes... otherwise they are normal.

    anyway, this screws up everything i had planed...  oh well, bob will not be a favorable character (so far) in redemption.

    cremator, just make a invis texture and make it a func_wall with 255, it can be clung too, and it acts like a clipbrush

    That's an easy way to rack up on clipnodes, though - solid brush entities will generate more clipnodes than a worldbrush.

    i know this is an old post, but i thought i'd try here instead of asking the same Q again,
    anyway,
    what if the clip brush is on the floor, can the alien's still walk on them normally??

    and is there another trick you can use instead of clip brushes, besides the invisable func_wall???

    i regret the loss of the clip texture, my clipnodes are climbing faster n my planes =/
