New Armour

<div class="IPBDescription">...</div> i say make a whole new armor, flamethrower armor, like firebats, this way u can justify being fire-proof and u could balance the game by making the wpn and armor expensive, a flamethrower would be great, especially as a counter against fades. i would then say to balance the hmg more so that the marines wouldnt be too strong with the new flamethrower gear.

    Well a flamethrower sure is possible with the particle system.
    And it would fit nicely in the game.

    Give it a lot of damage, but make the player vulnerable when using it, eg: give him a big tank on his back, and if it's hit, he blows up and does massive damage to any units nearby.

    Except since not every alien has a projectile attack, the marines would just coat the floors and walls in flame and sit back while raping the aliens with no recourse.

    I'm sure it wouldn't really hurt a skulk Leaping from a full-speed charge, straight at the marine, and mid-leap, detonating himself, which detonates the marine's flame tank, killing not only everyone around him, but several base structures as well.

    there are flamethrowers in Team fortress so a Flamethrower in NS is very possible. just make them slow or something or have low hp. i dunno, there should always be some class/unit that will trump another, and then something else that will trump that, thats what real a RTS is like, so dont think its imbalanced if something that took like 150 resources to get and 30 min + can kill a skulk easily. u can have skulks as soon as the game starts.

    Instead if anything maybe 1 attack for humans to get farther away units or something... but other then taht it's balanced.

    how bout a plasma sprayer, it could be an alien weapon that is an advanced type chamber?
