Game starting too soon

<div class="IPBDescription">False starts with 1v1/2v2</div>Right now the game always starts mere moments after both teams have one or more players, regardless of how many people are still in the ready room. Often most of the server does not join the game immediately for various reasons - they're AFK between rounds, piling onto one team's portal, etc etc. Then the game starts with just a couple people per team, and the rest slowly filter in over the next minute or two, but by that time the damage has already been done. One of the teams usually doesn't have a commander for a little while, the players are just sort of goofing around and the early game momentum is gone.
The pre-game time should be far longer than it is, at least 30 seconds. Or longer, with smart logic that speeds it up when a certain percentage of the server is ingame or something.

My thoughts are:
- Have a min number of players per team before rounds starts (set as a server variable)
- Have a pre-round period after meeting the min player threshold where a comm vote occurs (time of pre-round set as a server variable)
Particularly, on first round after a map change, minimum start time should be increased. Most of us stragglers on slow boxes are still loading the map.
An extra bit more time would be nice overall too.
The readyroom is kind of cool, but it is basically a server browser within a server browers within a game. Nothing worse than playing a 1v2 with 3 other people afking in the rr.
It doesn't fix the problem completely but it improves is a lot and i enjoy the modded version on HBZ a lot.
It would work like this:
- A team is ready when (e.g.) 50% of the players in a team is ready
- the round starts when both teams are ready
- setting yourself as ready works by typing "ready" into the console

Player 2 - not ready
Player 3 - not ready
Player 4 - not ready
Player 5 - not ready
Team 2 - ready
Player 1 - ready
Player 2 - ready
Player 3 - ready

There would be a timer to avoid 1 player setting the team ready.

It seems like 2/3 of the players have a faster computer ;) -> I always join a server 35-45secs too late. Then I start with extreme connection lag into a rine base that is already overrun by aliens. Big dislike!
I would also like to have a bit more time before the mapchange. After a long round there should be at least the time to write two sentences. Right now I write a comment and before I can send it the server changes the map -> everything erased.
Until then locked up in the Hive / Marine starting room? and any comm can't build until both comms are logged in? Res should also not tick yet.
