I pre-ordered this game few years ago. Why did you accept pre-orders so early??? I expected it to be out like 2 years ago. Is the beta at least playable now?? I want my money back.
Edit: - Release should be in ~2 months. - Download and start the game to judge yourself. - Refund is possible, so i dont bother answering the pre-order question.

It's not a troll thread. If you google NS2 release date, it'll say 2010, so maybe UWE wanted to release NS2 early, and got people excited to pre-order the game. I don't know why they'd release it so early, because the exosuit isn't even out yet!
Anyways, you should get into a server and find out, because you'll be excited, seriously! You'll love all the nice additions to the game! Just needs exosuit for my mech needs and lag fixes and it's all done. Balance issues will be coming, alwaysssssssssssssssss
I hope the exo is a mech suit. I don't mind if it's anything else as long as it's big, bulky, and looks like it can hold an area down by himself.

Thank you! I wasn't trolling. I don't want a refund I just said that out of frustration. I could care less about 20 dollars.
Get some games in my friend. It'll be coming out soon and even if they delay the game a bit more, you should know the game is 90% complete! Like I said, the marines only need the Exosuit and Minigun, then it's feature complete. Wait for another update because they said they fixed the lagging during enemy encounters by 50% and that was the major issue everyone had. Next update should it...
the reason they gave pre-ordering so early back then was because they were in danger of running out of money (it's a very small studio as you probably know). another reason is that you get very important feedback from all the players, in a time when the game may still undergo drastic changes if needed.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Is the beta at least playable now??<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> performance might still be a problem (although they improved it quite a lot by now), but it's absolutely playable and awesome in terms of gameplay, balance and bugs. absolutely give it a try before refunding.

The game is absolutely playable now! I strongly encourage you to hop in a server and check it out. If you haven't played in a long time then you're probably in for a bit of a surprise.
We don't have a firm release date, but are aiming at the end of summer for 1.0 release.
I'm afraid that we no longer offer refunds (although it seems as though you don't actually want one).

Google NS2HD, or check out the game on twitch.tv
That should give you some excellent footage to see the performance of the game right now.

Balance wise it is very playable, just not finished. Bugs are not rampent but I still see them enough to call the game buggy. There are working on it all: performance, balance, and bugs. It is 90% done.
