I am sure this has been discussed at some point in the history of this game but i can't find it. Do the dev's ever plan to introduce a DX11 compatible version of ns2? While were at it even though i HIGHLY doubt we will ever see it, infestation using tessellation would be the most epic thing ever :)

Once the game sells well and runs really well, a dx11 visual enhancement option would be great. Like Eve Online does to keep the game's visuals relevant for a long period of time.

Tessellated true dynamic infestation would be sweet!

why would tesselated infestation look better than parallax occlusion mapped one or even bump mapped one? Infestation is mostly on plane surfaces. I don't think the differences even on clogs would be that big.

Also: Why tesselation when we haven't even bump mapped infestation?

Dynamic infestation should have lots of similar bumps and mounds which would which would be perfectly optimized with tesselation. Parallax occlusion and bump-mapping do exist in their own right and they are different. Tesselation was created to offload a lot of model/texture swapping work onto the GPU, and this is what infestation really needs ATM as it feels like one of the bigger resource hogs.
