<div class="IPBDescription">It has become unplayable for me.</div>I used to have around 60 fps early game, but now every time i start i get around 45, and later i even drop below 15-10 fps on a gtx580, i7 950 3.07ghz 8gb ram.
It has been laggy lately, but this time in maps where I normally don't get lag, I get a ton of lag leaping into a marine base in the late game. I die instantly since it lags to hell.
FPS in this build really went down with this build 216. I used to have 60fps in the beginning and 40fps in late game. Now its always below 40fp, sometimes 20fps.
Could the developers reading this please adress the performance issues?
I got a i5-2400 with an ATI 6850, Samsung 830 SSD and 10 GB Ram. I'm assuming you are not developing for a computing machine in the future, UWE?
The former build replaced constant mega lag spikes with constant annyoing small lag that made it difficult to hit something. And despite of many ppl who have better performance, this build is a backstep for me.
On docking I had a long time around 20 (early game) to 6-12 fps (fights and late game) and 5-10secs were my fps dropped to 0.3 and I had a freeze-frame = certain death cause every1 else didn't had the same problem. The last patch improved it up to 19-40 fps but as described above it didn't feel much better but somehow a bit better anyways. BUT now my fps in the RR decreased from 80-90 to 50-55 fps!? And even in early game I am back to mega lag spikes causing fps to drop to 4.6-6 fps! I feel like I got punched in the face! I expected small increses and now I'm back to horrible.
It is frustrating, I feel like I have to play with a guy behind me that knocks me out randomly with a club or that other ppl have like 90fps more than me. Can't we all have the same lag? ;) (I am still happy for the people with improvements and I now that they can't optimize it equally for everyone due to different computers, but it is soooooo frustrating)

Sure.. it doesn't matter though any peice of ###### video card can run this game.
Hopefully UWE is even ABLE to do a proper performance tuning for all the Systems out there. Somehow I doubt that:( But fingers crossed! I also had in the last build something <15fps as soon as combat breaks out.surprisingly it ran smoother as soon as I join the alien side.
Running much better for me all around. 40-60fps early game, 20-30 late (usually above 30 with the occasional dip). Major hitches are gone, feels much more fluid. I have vsync forced on (adaptive) in my nvidia control panel, but I've got to say that it doesn't "feel" like it's on... I don't know, might just be me. Over all, very happy with the new build (at least in terms of performance).

Yeah, same here. Game is better in general, except the huge brawls.

I've kept an eye on the server performance mostly and the big fish in town (i5/i7 @ 4+Ghz) are able to keep their server tickrates at a constant 30 with small dips to 28 maybe 26. This is a huge improvement over previous builds. But the server specs on these beasts is of course way too high to set the standard.
The biggest issue still, is the choke which literally shoots up to 40%-60% in medium fights and up to 80%-100% even, during bigger "endgame" fights. If they can get the bandwidth usage down, which matso is working on vigorously, it would be awesome.

Heh the funny thing about that frametime log is that we can exactly see where you died or were in the readyroom due to the high FPS spikes. What kind of rig are you running?

This march build seems quite good, the one i did just before doesn't look so nice.
When I'm running around the map and not in combat I average 30fps. But when I'm in combat it drops below 20fps which impacts my ability to play effectively.
Even with all my visual settings on low I get horrible frame rate, before and still on the current build.

From some Fraps benchmarking, I seem to be getting about a 1fps drop from my B215 to B216 average, though its easily within the margin of error. At best, that suggests essentially no change in performance for me.

Not to say it's surprising. I could play in the shattered horizon closed beta but it became unplayable when it released.
Not necessarily because of the FPS, but the hitches are gone, and so 30 FPS still feel somewhat fluid.

OP your processor is very easy to overclock, might wanna bump it up a notch.

Ok.. maybe it's not the same map (summit vs tram I think).
