I would be the classic marine armed with a shotgun and pistol and maybe a couple of garnades for reasoning . Alien is'nt my thing. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

Well, we'll see just how fast you can run.

It's really unlike anything I've ever seen, including an RTS like Command and Conquer, as your troops in C&C don't get confused, lost, or disobey orders. RTS forces are also very, very small and impersonal, unlike your NS men. When you see your carefully-built ambush fall apart, with Lev1's crawling past your troop's still-warm corpses, and your last pair of Marines cut-off and yelling for ammo, you'll know what I mean...
Thing is the commander mode might be a little....crap.....trying to make sense of a huge battle between aliens and marines the commander (unless hes a vet) might just freeze up or be tight and not give the marines n e thing at all.
There are alot of lamers on cs and tfc and dod, but none of it will compare to what they could do with commander mode.
Personnaly i prefer the marine side, be a mean Son of a bit*h. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
Also commanders can be voted off if enough players feel it necessary, and also NS will be very different to CS and TFC if for one reason, it isnt as fun for a 5 minute game.
or something like that.
