If I miss my Nano Shield target, it chews up the cool down. I reported this before, so I am not sure if this is just a low priority issue, or if it is a bug that shouldn't be happening still.
You can report bugs at the <a href="https://getsatisfaction.com/unknownworlds" target="_blank">getsatisfaction</a> site, as described in the stickied topic about <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=112812" target="_blank">tracking feedback</a>. Unfortunatley forum posts about bugs like this are not likely to be noticed.

It looks like we have the report, sorry about the annoyance BloodyIron (It annoys me when comming soon!) I'm not sure how far up the priority tree it is but you can bet Brian will attack it savagely when he gets to it.
If I'm trying to hit just one unit once with a nano shield, and he moves in a direction I did not anticipate and I miss and click on nothing, it starts the nano shield cooldown. Surely you agree this is not exactly fair, since the player did not actually receive the buff?

It's up to you guys to decide priority. I just think it's constructive to make as much of these things present as possible. I know I reported it previously, I think that was like 4+ builds ago, so it seemed like something not too hard to fix and that is why I wasn't certain if it was a known issue.
I'll go look for other bugs now.

Some of the team is already getting in extra hours on the nights and weekends fixing everything and they have to do the big ones first. While some may appear to be easy to fix, it can sometimes require a large re-write of lower functions. Or some bugs just may be in the queue to fix after other ones. Since it's on the list it will get done, but sadly maybe not as fast as you had hoped.
And as a fan of the aliens, the less nano shield, the better ;)

nanoshield should be an AOE ability - so that the player in the nanoshield has to stand roughly in the same area to get the benefit, rather than just becoming a jumping tank.
