I think it would be great word of mouth for NS2 to get in on some of the popular Youtubers channels. I know a lot of youtubers frequently post closed beta videos or random let's plays that get thousands of views and get a lot of people into the game. Also Twitch.tv is really blowing up as with game commentary in general. I think NS2 with the awesome spectator mode and the really unique gameplay could prove to be a great spectator game. Also I think newer players will more easily overcome the large learning curve and be able to get into the game a lot easier if there were some entertaining videos to sort of give them some tips.

It's not something which is especially attractive for SC2 gamers. Being a semi-pro in SC2 myself, I can tell you that I love NS2 but not for any similarities it has with SC2. I love NS2 because it's original and allows for a really cool team play experience that you cannot find in competitive SC2. What might make it easier for SC2 people to get into NS2 are the similarities, just makes it a bit easier to explain (but also risks that they will be thinking that NS2 is just copying SC2 aspects).
All in all, I think Day[9] or Husky could definitely bring attention to the game, but so could any other youtube personality who is involved with gaming. The great thing about TotalBiscuit is that he does many sorts of games and the people that follow him are probably more willing to try out new stuff, whereas most people who follow Day[9] or Husky just follow them for SC2 games.
I'm willing to donate a couple of beta keys to nudge them in the right direction. ;)
I.E i listen to metal, but i also listen to pop. (trufakt)
Problem could be to get em to upload futage, since they are rather specialiced channels.
Do it! :)

These PC games' youtubers are very popular in Italy so you could do a big publicity with them (they will be happy to try a new beta). Ah, I must tell you than 20,000 visualizations in Italy are a great number because italian population is only 63 milions people against 720 milions people that speak english how first language.
