Hey just wanted to let you guys know that out of the box, NS2 does not run, at least on my clean WinXP install. Via Steam it just doesn't start, when you run the exe manually, you get a "failed to initialize blablabla" error thrown in your face. After some googling, I managed to fix it by installing the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=3387 ). Since other games install these needed files on their own, maybe this can be fixed to be installed automatically for NS2, too.
