<div class="IPBDescription">help anyone?</div> Hi, I have done this binding so I can quickly change weapons as a marine. I want to do the same thing for the Kharaa, but I want to change between Parasite and Bite, and also a binding for change between primary and Seconday weapons as a marine. Is that possible to do?
bind "MWHEELUP" "invnext; +attack; wait; -attack"
bind "MWHEELDOWN" "invprev; +attack; wait; -attack"
btw, I want it to be "quake-style" weapon change, so I don't have to dubbleclick everytime I want to change weapon.

into the console. This is perfectly acceptable.
Now, onto using quick-switching of weapons/abilities (IE binding a key to 'slot3, attack, slot1'). This is frowned upon by the devs because it unbalances the game a bit. Aliens are not INTENDED to be able to switch weapons instantaneously, nor are marines but they dont switch weapons nearly as much. If you use a quick-switch bind/script, you will find that sometimes you will die for no apparent reason. Thats the anti-script killing you and telling you to stop using that bind/script.
btw, a ordinary bind command is NOT considered a "script" and I don't see how they could "code" so it kills you, because its a command that the game uses all the time?
Anway, a script is something that automates the game, making you have to do LESS. All I want is to be able to switch between skills more easily.
I don't think anyone ever said it was cheating to be able to switch between rocketlauncher and shootgun in Q3 :/
I'm sorry, how is that different?
just play the damn game, you CS player <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

For changing between predefined weapons you would have to usw the "Slotx" command where x is a number between 1 and 5 for Natural Selection.
What some people think here, atleast I suppose they do, that you would like to have a script which attacks all the time for you. And then changes quickly the weapon.
E.g. Leap attack from the skulk and then the script changes back to bite. So you just have to push 1 key. This is what the anti-script thing was implemented into Natural Selection.
But using fastswitch I got killed several times because I changed to fast between Leap and bite
I dont understand what you have against fastswitch if you want a script which changes the weapons the effect is the same.
@Y3ti just try not to cassifie everyone as CS player who says something you don't like - no offence meant here its just something a remarked a lot here. And no I don't play CS and I don't really like most of the CS players but if I attack someone I know him.
