Video: Emergency lights only until power node activated.

Someone else on here suggested this, So I made a quick mod. Its very easy to do and is server side, so server admins could easily implement this.
Anyways, the lights are unpowered (thus the emergency red lights are active) until the power node is activated. This does not affect the way the power nodes function otherwise, simply the initial light state.
I like it alot, not only looks better but makes the gameplay a little more dynamic.

I wonder how well it would work if it did that automatically once a marine enters it early game. As if the entire map was asleep and marines had to wake it up as they spread out. Kind of like those future houses where you just walk into the room and all the lights turn on. Aliens could browse around early game and be all "oh this room is lit up already a marine must have been here". Of course then once the room was "awakened" it would work as normal until its power node was destroyed.
They may revisit it, but I think it highly doubtful, despite it looking and feeling exactly as it should :P
