Hi everybody!
I just wanted to let everybody on the competitive scene to know that we have added teams to the ns2stats. The site hosts a list of the competitive teams and their players. There lists are maintained by the founders of the teams respectively. You can add your own team and players to the website by logging in to the website and then navigating to My Account -> My Teams or alternatively using this link. After inviting players to the team they also have to login and navigate to the same page to accept the invitations.
In addition to listing the teams and their players ns2stats.org gathers all kinds of stats of the games that the team plays together and creates a summary page like this. All this is done automatically after you have added your team and players. The automatic stat tracking works by using ns2stats server side lua mod. Next version of the mod will include a tournament mode that makes sure that matches and pcw stats are kept separate from the stats in public servers. It also makes sure that the warmup phase of a match is not logged to stats. If the tournament mode is not enabled on the server you play no stats will be tracked for your team. Currently matches with mercs are not marked as a match for any team.
The tournament mode can be already enabled by the server admin by logging in to the website and navigating to My Account -> My Servers or alternatively this link. The server also needs to have the latest version of the stats mod installed. You can find installation instructions and downlaod the mod from here.
Our goal is to gather neat stats of each team's performance and playstyle and maybe create some kind of ladder later on. The team system, as whole ns2stats is not very rich in information yet, but a lot more stats will be added soon. We're hoping many teams and servers to join us to test the system right after the next version of the stats mod is available.
I am happy to answer if you have any questions, suggestions or anything else to say about the subject.
But now i think it's time for me to collapse to bed after coding many night without much sleep. nn!

Or NS2 has been developed for 43 years
Nah, we just haven't played for a while. Getting little bit rusty with this pace. :P
As said, lot of polishing is still needed.
Thanks for caring mom! I slept almost 3 hours last night.
The internet was brought online in 1969, hence the date. It was a fine year.
