Can i pre order this game through steam?

If you order it from the website linked above, you can just put the key into steam and it acts like a normal steam game (updates and such). The only difference is you pay via the UWE website versus the steam website.

The trailer says Sept 4 will allow actual steam orders, if you prefer that method.

When you pre-order on Steam then you won't get instant access to the beta though.

Why is it a dealbreaker to buy it through some other site? The functionality is still the same, its all through steam once you activate the game..

This guy is one of those stubborn people that will only purchase from steam. If you buy it from unknownworlds, the people who actually make the game ,they get all the money minus PayPal.

TLDR: OP being a scrub, order from the website.

You should probably strive to link your credit card to as few online sources as possible. Everyone already uses steam, so if its coming out on steam in a few days, why not wait?

Because if you buy it now, you get beta access.

Besides, having either a paypal, amazon or google wallet account is generally not a bad idea.

Take off your tin hat, I used PayPal and also if you used a Credit Card it has fraud protection so if it gets stolen you can report it.
