- Why remove welder and mines icons from armory?
- Why make everything so blue on marines comm? Too confusing now.
- Why make everything so orange on aliens comm? Too confusing now.
- Why remove marine health bars off comm view?
- Why rebind mass way point to left alt without ability to change it? (i got mic on that button)
- Why rebind Q to request ammo, people now spam it, very irritating as comm.

Why not wait the tiniest bit so that we can let the changes settle in?
then start talking about their effectiveness
...and actually like the marine comm being blue and alien comm being orange....
Agree, it's way too small now and hard to make out anything on the minimap now. I thought it actually worked really well last build?
The smaller icons on the large map was actually not intended. We decided to zoom out the marine HUD minimap, to make it more useful to navigate around, by showing more of the map to give the player a better understanding of the area around them. Doing that required the icons to be reduced in size, which works ok for that map. However, we realized after the change, that the large map icons were tied into that change, and ended up being shrunk down as well. We agree that they are too small, but we didn't have a chance to separate them out and scale them independently from the HUD minimap.

While some people may think that screaming loudly about how much a patch sucks, and how NS2 is going to fail is a way to get the attention of the devs and get us to change things, it tends to have the opposite effect, and just makes us want to ignore those posters and avoid the forums.
This patch has been a great example of a lot of constructive feedback presented in a respectful manner about some of the problems with it, and has been helpful to us to generate a list of some changes/fixes. You've probably seen more dev activity on here, as well, as a result of a more positive environment.
We don't expect there to be no critical feedback, just be conscious of the tone and manner in which you are presenting it.

I just spammed for med/ammo like 7 times in a row because I couldn't remember what Q was, and everytime I pushed it it did something unfamiliar to me. Give it time, people will learn and stop doing it in a few days.

Good to hear, the small icons along with the unhelpful new colour scheme makes it hard to read the map at a glance. Previously I could flick it up for a few miliseconds to get a glance at the battlefield, now it takes a few seconds to understand what is going on.
We need larger icons, and the original colour scheme back. Red for hostile was good on the map. Different colours used for friendly structures and units was good. Cysts being a different colour than icons was good.
All that said, I do like how the map looks higher resolution and how vents are a different shade.

Taking your frustrations out on the devs in a forum is poor form no matter how ###### you're feeling. I seriously doubt you NEED this game to relax, in which case, go do something else. Don't act spoiled.

I know this game can be frustrating at times with new feature testing, performance issues and of course bugs and can understand the need to vent. But this is a alpha/beta process so those things are to be expected.
However, the stuff you said in this thread is on the border of being insulting. We will tolerate criticism, that is if it contributes something to the subject at hand. But we will not tolerate pure rage on the forums. So keep that stuff in check next time and keep things friendly, these here forums are not your personal outlet for your aggression ;)
Honesty should be rewarded!
Devs are people too. And getting demoralized by your fans isn't doing anything good to this game.
