4GB DDR2 enough?

Greetings. Since a while (since 212 I think), my game keeps freezing for 2 seconds regulary. Is this because my PC has not enough memory?
E8500 € 3.8 GHz
MSI P35 Neo2 FIR
4GB DDR2
2x 7200rpm HDD (RAID-0)

game is running on crap-resolution (13xx * 768), no AA, detail leven HIGH.

If the game is not freezing every now and then, it runs more or less smoothly.

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc and see for yourself. NS2 uses around 1.5GB of RAM, so unless you run tons of ###### in the background, you should be fine.

then what seems to be the problem? I mean, I doubt EVERYONE has these major lag pikes ...
