B217: Rounds with smaller bases?

The last 15 rounds I played on 217 were a bit frustrating: After the first 5 minutes the base is down to 1 cc / hive and 1-2 rts. For the rest of the game there won't a successful way to set up new rts. That results in very low pres of course.

I don't know if it is due to many new player, but the games usually tend to get shorter? My fun suffers under these small bases.

Does anyone else have this issue?

    What exactly do you mean? Do people only build rts initially but forget to build more once they are destroyed? Or do you mean something else?

    Also your playing experience can vary drastically between servers depending on who are playing on them. One server might be full of new players while another server might have a lot of experienced players. Personally I do not recognise your experience of 217. Most of my time with 217 has been pretty great with back and forth games that last for 30 minutes or more.

    Also I'd suggest changing servers if the one you are currently on doesn't give you a good experience. I do that all the time if it's e.g. a server with lots of ragequitters who will F4 as soon as it looks like they're behind or when you get one of those obnoxious competitive players who dominates a server. =)

    Yep, I've also been having tons of fun playing in this build!
