N00b Fps Prob

<div class="IPBDescription">good comp, bad fps?!?!</div> I have recently noticed that during NS my FPS are constantly dropping. I can start off with around 81fps constant, after a while it drops to 51 fps constant, then 31 and so on, until I find myself at 5FPS CONSTANT!?!?!

I dont have a clue what could be causing this, nothing to do with my PC spec:

512DDR
GF3 Ti200
Athlon XP 2000

at first I thought it was my comp overheating, not the case, prob occurs when my comp has been switch on for less than 5 mins. When I try other games such as Counter-Strike, I'm gettin 100 fps, back to NS and I'm 5 fps. clearleh something not right here.

Anyone got any ideas? This is extremely frustrating therefore I want to get to the root of the prob fast....tnnx

I played with you on the server you joined and complained about low FPS <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyway... Can't you try to download it again from a new location and install it again? I dunno if it would help but maybe.

If it doesn't work: Wait for a playtester or a forum admin to help you.

Or you could check out the high FPS threads. Not that you need them or anything <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Maybe try download the newest Geforce drivers, they came out like a week ago so I'm guessing you dont have them. Other than that try reinstalling the game, and maybe toning down your graphic settings as a quick fix.

Same thing kinda happens to me. I start off at 20 fps and slowly go down to 4fps (I start off at 4fps in ns_caged).

I think your fps go down is because of the map has been running for so long and your computer is trying to keep track of everything at once. All I can think of to fix this is either get Cashe Booster and MemMax or restart your computer.
