Black armour assets for first person view?

<div class="IPBDescription">Are they coming for release?</div>It took me a long time to realize I was even wearing the black armour, because in first-person view (which is the only view I get) the armour on my hands and forearms is green just like everybody else's. I finally checked with third person view from cheats and I guess it was sort of black/grey, kind of hard to tell with all the blue/greenish lighting, but I assume that's how everyone else sees me.

So yeah, any word on whether there will be matching visuals for the player's own view?

    Any news on whether there will be a black version of the special edition armour as well, or something? The model looks pretty boss, but with the green you're just like anyone else who preordered on Steam just before launch. :P

    It will be green and it isn't the special edition armour, that is actually the black special forces armour. The one with the visor is the Deluxe amour :)

    Just hacked this out in photoshop - it replaces the default marine hands with the Black Version as seen being used by the SpecOps Marines.

    I'm sure someone with experience to lua could make the hands for Special Edition marines use Ulmont's modified skin instead. I would try to do it, but this mac is my limiting factor ATM.

    Go to Steam, right click on Natural Selection 2. Click View Downloadable Content.

    If you see a line that reads "Natural Selection 2 - Black Armor," then you have it. I do not believe there is a toggle to display it in-game yet, so if you have the DLC activated, you will have black armor in game.

    Or you can just ask someone in the ready room :P

    So hello everyone,

    I have been part of this wonderful experience for as long as I can remember..since way before arcs, grenade launchers, onos, even before mini cysts, since before even fades..and back when the fade blink was literally a thing you had to target where you wanted to land and was instant in its travel (fun times!) and so forth.
    Now I've enjoyed my time and indeed I've really had a unique chance to see this great game evolve from very troubled, to extraordinarily beautiful at the hands of these great developers (and for that I thank them, it is shaping up very very nicely!)..however here comes my problem:

    The version I got, through no fault of my own actually..wasn't the special edition (although that *was* what I ordered back then..but something went wrong (I ended up getting and paying for a regular version). I didn't complain though, I didn't take it as a big deal then and went along happily)..and now a deluxe version is coming out, also with a unique ingame model...am I doomed to be passed by, by both things? Am I essentially "forced" to buy *another* version of the game if I want in on this? :(

    I don't mean to sound super sad (though I am! :( ) or like I'm feeling like I'm not really part of the party. I don't mind supporting the game further ( I have bought a few copies of the game just to give out to some friends - Thats NOT to say though that I deserve anything for doing that! Thats not what I'm saying! Was my choice and my choice alone)

    If you have anykind of version right now, it will be upgrade to the Deluxe version, when the game is released. You don't need to buy a second one. Infact since it sounds like you didn't preorder on steam, you will also get a standard version you can give to a friend and then you can see how you look more special than your friend in your special ns1-style armor.
