Scoreboard Question

<div class="IPBDescription">Trouble viewing the scoreboard</div> I havent played half-life in a while so I'm not up to date with all the new features of the recent patches. I decided to install it again cause of this great mod =) When I use to play, all I do is hit F1 to view the scoreboard. Now when I do this weird Half-Life desktop thing pops up. I can resize it and stuff but all it seems to do is give me the option of resuming the game or quiting. At first I was like ok.... how do I view the scoreboard?? Then I figured out that i had to hold the console key down and press f1 to view it. Its pretty annoying and Im wondering if I'm missing something or if theres something wrong with my key binds? If anyone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.

BTW Natural Selection is one of the best mods I have played, Great job and thanks NS Team!

I'm pretty sure the scoreboard is default-bound to TAB... if not, simply change it to a different key and you'll be fine. F1 has an external function for HL now.

yea and you cant unbind that stupid menu thing from F1 (at least not as far as I know). Just bind another key to +showscores.

I know what your prob is. In the last HL patch, as Coil sed, they gave F1 a function. That function can be disabled. Goto Start>Find>Files or Folders>Your HL dir. Search for a file named GameUI.dll. When you find it rename it to GameUI.bak and your F# keys will be functional again.

Ok, thanks, your right. The F1 key seems to have some kinda function that wouldnt make it work if u try and bind it to something else. I'm use to always using that key for viewing the scoreboard. I'll use the default key now I guess. I would like to know what the purpose of that half-life desktop window is for though, besides resuming the game or quiting. Seems like a waste if thats all it can do.
