Seriously. I'm downloading BMS at 100k a second. Only 6 hours left.
EDIT: Just got Cry of Fear the other day though and that's a pretty awesome horror mod to hold people over during the long download. It's on moddb. Didn't hear about it until I saw that it was greenlit on Steam.
Amazing mod, liked pretty much everything they did with most of the levels and enemies(Bullsquids are actually dangerous now), looks quite stunning for a source game. <3 dat dynamic flashlight! Guess they ported everything the Portal2 engine.
Try this site, going at 2mb/sec for me: http://www.chip.de/downloads/Black-Mesa_57528457.html

Thanks. I had to suffer through two failed downloads earlier.

Bit off topic but have you tried Afraid of Monsters? It's an even older HL1 mod but just as freaky, with a lot of emphasis on avoiding combat to preserve ammo. (edit: Should also mention it's made by the same gentleman)
And just about to dive into Black Mesa now. Cya on the other side!

Just type 'notepad++ chip.de' or whatever in google, if you have trouble navigating through the site.

Chip.de seems to have limited the BMS download to 250 kb/s. Or maybe there are to many loaders. I found that one instead, fullspeed for me (1,7mbit): http://www.shacknews.com/file/32999/black-...ndows-free-game

shout out to Liam Tart, who is an artist on both games (he goes by PogoP around here), as well.
Time to do my part!
