Chat text obscured in commander view

I've noticed that as commander if you set control groups above groups 1 and maybe 2 (squad 5 is the best), the icons start obscuring the chat text making it difficult to read what people are saying. It would be great if the icons could be moved above where the chat starts so you don't have to keep going into the console to read the chat text! Sorry if this has already been pointed out.
