If I see anymore people getting angry for getting a $40 game for $25 and then moaning like they have some god-given right to get into the beta, I am going to take matters into my own hands... and it won't be pretty.
Fact 1 - Of all the current pre-orders on steam advertised in my region, NONE OF THEM offer Beta access.
Where does this perception of pre-order = beta come from? A few AAA titles faking beta's, and muppets falling for it thinking they are beta testers, hahahahaha.
Fact 2 - You are getting a massive (but poorly advertised) discount and a whole bunch of bonuses, making the $40 I paid for this 3 years ago almost seem like I over-paid.
Fact 3 - This is an INDIE game, not some AAA title that releases the demo as a beta. This is a beta with big issues that cannot afford to have it's reputation ruined by people trying to claim a BETA TESTER tag, who know nothing about beta's and would destroy and rubbish the game because of it's current performance.
Fact 4 - There has never been any advertisement to access the beta through steam, any perceived expectations are imaginations of your over-active mind.
Now put this to bed, the situation is not going to change, but it might get ugly.....
If you feel you should have beta access, PM me. I can't do anything to give you access, but I can put you in your place!!!!
@UWE, sorry for this, I do apologise, but this is the most sanitised and non-confrontational thing I can do to relieve my current annoyance at all these whiny greedy, capitalistic, spoilt brats who are supposed to grow up and be our future leaders. I fear for the world....
Oh and if you want to know where your free copy of the game is..... Who cares, I don't have mine, you don't have yours, but you have the full game to be playing yourself. If you've already promised it away, well there's an old saying, don't count your chickens before they've hatched.....
