<div class="IPBDescription">The server automatically downloaded the mods from workshop</div>Hi there,
I woke up this morning and saw the news about the release of 221!
Well I updated the server with the respective files, and upon the first launch after updating, I realise that the server was downloading 2 mods which I subscribed to on steam - <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=81010449" target="_blank">Co_faceoff remake</a> and <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=99185777" target="_blank">Aliens Nostalgia Mod</a>.
This was taken from my server log:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->Starting download of 'Kouji San's Alien Nostalgia Mod'
Starting download of 'Ns2 co_faceoff remake'
Mod 'Ns2 co_faceoff remake' installed
Mod 'Kouji San's Alien Nostalgia Mod' installed<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
However, I did NOT include those mods in my server.xml OR in my command line options. This is the truncated content of my server.xml:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1--> <game>ns2stats</game>
<mods></mods><!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
Also worthy of note is that the account I use for steamcmd is <b>different</b> from the one logged into my Steam account.
I've unsubscribed from those mods in my Steam Workshop and restarted my server. Unfortunately, I am still getting kicked from failing consistency checks.
May I know if there is a way to remove those downloaded mods on the server? I've read Dedicated_Server_Usage.txt and they mentioned -removemods. However, Server.exe tells me that it is an unrecognized command line option.
EDIT: Okay. I found the location of those Workshop downloads - they are in %APPDATA\Natural Selection 2\Workshop\
I deleted the Workshop folder and unsubscribed the mods from the Steam Workshop.
Funny thing is, I'm still getting kicked for consistency issues. I have never installed any other mods other than those from the Steam Workshop while I was on Build 220.
Guess I'll have to try a re-install of NS2 client.
EDIT2: Re-downloading the client and it seems that ns2stats is the issue.
EDIT3: Confirmed that it is ns2stats that is causing the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=121483" target="_blank">problem</a>.
