Why we need to have the power pack back?

<div class="IPBDescription">Building placements</div>As the title says, I loved the power packs and i feel like i can't do what i want as commander! Why?
- Forward PGs and power safety are impossible to have... Marines TOTALLY rely on a weak power node which is quite easy to take out. I feel enslaved by this power node and this lack of liberty we have as marine...
- Awful building placement! There are TONS AND TONS of places where you simply can't build things... or where the structure appears green but you can't place it properly. Again i feel very frustrated when that happens. One of the best example i found is the bridge in Cave on Mineshaft... What is the problem? It's flat, inside the room and it's easy for skulks to go there... WHY, WHY can't we place a phase gate there? Same, why the aliens can't place cyst over there?! Same: lack of liberty for the commander.
To sum it up, the depth of the possibilities as marine have been HEAVILY injured by the removal of power packs, and the restrictions of building in all the environment we play in are not acceptable for a game like that and at this date before release! In NS1 you could place buildings everywhere you had access to (vents, pipes under the ceiling, etc...)
You said you didn't want to have hard caps? Here is one you made which should be accepted... Placing buildings in vents and on crates should be allowed!
I still love the game but i really feel restricted on this point!
