Gorges get more structures per hive?

Good idea bad idea

More clogs and hydras with additional hives would at least give them something to do.

Gorge used to get increments of 3 Hydras & 10 Clogs per Hive when they were first made "free to build". It may have been too much, but the idea was good for scaling numbers. It's too bad it got removed (not sure why).

Another solution : The current hydras improved with every new hive.More HP/DMG.

Or they are upgradeable by the gorge for extra pres. Possible upgrades could be :
    - gorge can move hydras
    - hydras cloacked
    - hydras explode on death (heals allies and damages enemys)
    - Hydra can "see" and shows nearby enemys on the map (like drifters)
    - every hydra head shots one spike (triple dmg)
    - hydras parasite marines
    - hydra spikes slowdowns marine movementspeed

One upgrade @ 2. hive another upgrade @ 3. hive. Would fit the support role a bit more. And makes Hydras usefull in lategames. Currently they sucks, so many marines ignore them or shot them down like nothing in lategame.

Mature hydras should be more deadly, perhaps firing more rapidly and parasiting marines who get hit. I like the idea of them seeing too, within a close range.

Don't think it makes sense for them to slow marines down. That will be what the webbing structure does when it's implemented.

Auto cloak would be too frustrating for marines, and hydras already benefit from the shade's cloaking effect.

The gorge absolutely needs to be able to build more than 3 hydras like they could a few months ago. Otherwise you can only cover one spot on the map, and not even securely. All it takes is one rine to run past hydras or shoot one clog to make a gap in a wall, and you might as well never have gone gorge.

Well 9-12 hydras per gorge were over the top I guess, but now idea why they removed scaling together. I'm sure trying other numbers /scaling levels might have worked, like 1 extra hydra per hive and maybe 5 extra clogs or so (though 10 were fine, clogs are fun :P)

9 - 12 hydras are what is needed when facing level 3 (or even 2) weapon marines with armour.

Not to mention grenades which decimate hydras.

It's also important to get more hydras per hive so you can keep up with expanding territory.

I was just searching the forums if someone had the same idea as me.

Atleast more clogs per hive, mini-cysts made me feel somewhat useful since I could infest the area for my team and thereby help them.

Clogs are fun to use and helpful, but 10 are really just enought to just 1 entrance or so. Maybe I'm being too nostalgic since I loved being able to build and defend a area as a gorge, but I feel that Gorges in NS2 are just healbots/Bile-bombers.

I know the Clogs would get new models but other than that I'm pretty clueless what the general plans for Gorges are. I know the are alot of other more important stuff to fix but it'd be fun to see what UWE and other players think about Gorges currently.
