Problem with the grid

My grid seems to align incorrectly on some faces as seen here: http://imgur.com/Iruj2
For some reason the grid is aligning to the line in the bottom right of the image instead of being horizontal. Is there any way to fix this? It can be quite annoying as working around it is a pain in the ass.

Also while I'm at it when I'm trying to connect a line to near but not on the middle of another line it will automatically snap to the center causing me to have to drop the vertex and then manually move it. Is there a way to disable snap to center?

EDIT: So I should have just made the title of this thread help with the editor XD. But here's another small issue I have. Is there a way to turn down sensitivity for WASD movement. It can be challenging if you want to zoom in close to something as you have to keep moving back and forth till you get the camera just right. I couldn't find a setting for it :/

Oh and sorry if these questions have been asked before. The search feature on these forums are a nightmare lol

#1 The answer is no to the first question. Make your stuff square and then rotate to weird angles after.

#2 To the snapping the answer is also no. Snap further from the center of the line and then drag to where you need. If this causes problems for you, see #1

#3 wasd sensitivity. no way to change this. when working in perspective i hold right mouse and use wasd in small increments. in other views, i use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out and click and hold the mouse wheel to drag around. you can also zoom to selection by selecting something and then hitting the 'z' key.

    hope that helps!

you could try to divide your face up, so that you have a big square/rectangle in the middle and the sides are smaller triangles - you'll have about 4 faces instead of one, but i think that should make the grid align correctly.

I find there to be lots of annoying issues with the grid, especially things going off grid, you'd think this would have been fixed by now, this and the rotation bug are the top two annoying bugs, textures jumping about and not staying fixed is another.
