Mouse lag

Experiencing a tiny amount of mouse lag that is making it really hard to track targets. Most evident when moving the mouse from side to side quickly, even in ready room (~70 fps). Raw input made it playable, had like half a second delay before. My rig isn't the beefiest, but changing resolution or detail doesn't seem to affect the mouse lag.

Oh and I'm not talking about acceleration.

Any ideas?

Seems the solution was setting pre-rendered frames to 1 in NVIDIA settings, using 560TI.

Maybe someone smart knows why :P

Next patch you might want to try double buffering and yes the game has some input lag still...

OK so this is weird. i am having the same issue. 3.3 duo, 3gig ram, n9800gt OC
    not the craziest system.

OK so here the thing. last few builds been unplayable. so this time i figured id get to the bottom of it. so i nuke all my settings to nothing even put it on 800X600. i am watching the frame rate in the top corner 60 fps ok sweet. figure id give the mouse a quick shake. see if it drops a couple of frames which is sort of understandable. WHAT THE FURK. frame rate rapidly decreases down to 30 24 12 9 2 fps with in seconds. so i figure ok whats going on here. i checked all other in game graphic settings, even cranked them back up to were i am sitting at a average for 30-35fps. i move the mouse rapid frame rate drop. 12 6 2 fps. ok i try all different possible in game graphic settings. the triple buffer double buffer on off each time checking the fps still drops when mouse moves. just to keep double checking i jump in game now i have no frame rate lose when moving at all with keys i can run jump straff. but as soon as i move my mouse lag frame rate drop rapidly. i have been hunting this problem for a few builds. been asking around several other people have had the same issue. but no one knows how to fix it.

SO my solution and its got me stumped how this is possible. but i unplugged my RAZOR Naga corded USB mouse. and plugged in a old ball mouse into the PS socket. lag completely gone, frame rate fully restored. now when i had the razor in i tried settings with both the razor system tray running and with out.

I am now systematically working my way back up the mouse chain. i got a feeling it has something to do with USB interface devices or at least mice. ill dig out my old logi tech. and ill try both my Naga and my logi tech 510 with a USB to PS adapter.

But for the life of me cant work out why having a USB mouse in a USB slot is doing this. Might have something to do with the game overlay. I don't know. Even tried my USB mouse in my high speed and low speed USB slots didn't seam to stop the lag. For now ill play with my trusty ball mouse if I have to. Maybe there's a issue in the interface code. Maybe spark isn't receiving the inputs right.

further testing to eliminate brand and or interface devices connection method.

It might be something to do with the polling rate of the mouse. I know if you have 1000Hz polling rate it can lower fps because the CPU is working more. I wouldn't expect that to lower it down to 2fps though. You could test it by moving the mouse quickly on the desktop while watching cpu usage. See if you can turn it down to 125Hz in the drivers and test again.

that might work ill have a look also going to update drivers as well.

from what i can tell its isolated to the razor brand or at least the Naga. my logi tech mx518 seams to be doing fine in either USB, or with a adapter to PS. the naga how ever is incompatible with the PS adapter.

maybe if people who are having issues. can list there mouse brand and settings

ok i dropped my polling rate down to 125hz. the frame rate still drops a good 5 frames as soon as the mouse is moving. at least its doesn't have the cascading effect of 1000hz. also lowered my dpi to about 800.

still going to look into the driver update next

Same issue here as well. The last time I played was in August and I haven't changed anything since then, so I'm not sure why this is happening.

BUT! Turning down everything to low (Except for multicore rendering) seemed to help.
