That’s like asking the presidential candidates to be nice to one another.
Check the Unknown Worlds twitter feed. Game cancelled. Charlie tweeted a pic from a private jet with a cigar in his mouth. He's fled the country with the preorder money. The rest of the crew have been captured by Croc Twirler who is making them his wives.
We worked until past 4AM Euro time, starting before 8PM Euro time playtesting the build, trying to get it out. It's just not cooked through yet. Hopefully today it'll be cooked, will be a feast for the eyes and smell delicious. :)
I heard Lerks will shoot gas again and there's gonna be hive teleport. I also heard there's gonna be a new alien class. What's more, I heard 224 whitens your teeth while you sleep. I also heard that it gets rid of foot fungus and that it can double as a can opener.
At this point 224 is pretty much doomed to disappoint someone's lofty expectations. Might as well pile on even more :)
maybe UWE should stop announcing patchdates no matter how often we ask and beg. announcing patches: -has a risk of disappointing people if the patch is delayed -creates massive hype in general and it is possible that the patch cannot hold up to that content-wise -some people in EU stay up longer at night, hoping they can still try out the patch (e.g. myself to some degree) -probably more stress for developers and playtesters as well most of these are obviously homemade problems, but are there any real benefits? i myself don't mind being pleasantly surprised by an unexpected patch.

- this has essentially no negative side effect. Someone who is genuinely dissapointed by a delay isn't going to say "WELL I'M NOT GOING TO PLAY AT ALL THEN!". - massive hype! Oh no! commercial success! God no! - People eagerly waiting up thinking about their favorite game all night? Uhoh UWE sounds like trouble! - So less hype for patch = less stress and slower release?

People respond to hype, there's no getting away from it.
We can act like we are above it, and only act objectively related to the weighted consideration of how good something is or isn't, but its not true. HYPE SELLS.

1. Brush teeth
2. Gather possie
3. Go to UWE offices and kidnap Hugh.
4. Propose hostage exchange, Hugh for Patch 224 (To be released to public on steam)
5. Failure to comply will result in Hugh having to wear the unicorn outfit at the release press conferance.
